Theodor Christofi joined Trustmary for two months as an ESG Intern. He's a student at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics, he is majoring in Corporate Environmental Management.

”I came to know about Trustmary through Dumppi. My friend from the IT department invited me to a Trustmary event on the pretext of free pizza and forgot to mention the event is in Finnish :D Nevertheless, I enjoyed the pizza and the event as well. ”

During his internship Theodor created the first official ESG report for Trustmary. He also implemented a one-pager and carried out an employee engagement survey. At the end of his internship he compiled a set of recommendations that will be later applied in practice.

Theodor’s approach gave us a better understanding about ESG and sustainable business.

”Sustainability is an important topic since it covers multiple areas. Sustainable is something that can last for a long period of time. We have to approach business the same way we approach our lives. We want them to last, provide us with what we need, and give us happiness and interesting things every day.”

Theodor found in his report Trustmary’s operations being generally sustainable. We are heading in the right direction for a better future for all of us. Trustmary will be taking Theodor’s recommendations into account, for example:

• Organize a sustainability workshop
• Conduct an employee sustainability engagement survey
